A long-span pre-engineered production shed for ABB India at Halol, planned for open floor space, daylight and overhead crane movement.
A production shed has to make room for the work happening inside it. For ABB India’s RBIKC plant at Halol, the brief called for an open floor, good natural light and a structure ready for overhead cranes. The steel portal frames create clear spans across the shop floor, while roof skylights bring daylight into the working area. Circulation, loading and potential expansion were considered in the site layout so the facility can adapt as production needs change.
